Streamside Parks is focused on acquiring, improving, and operating RV Park Resorts & Campgrounds, primarily throughout the Southeast. Who We Are Looking For:

The Controller will report directly to the Director of Finance and work closely with the Director of Finance & CFO to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This is a remote position with occasional in-person meetings in Nashville, TN.

What You’ll be Doing:

Work with the Director of Finance to oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, cash disbursements, and revenue recognition. We envision giving you roughly half of park entities’ financials to manage. The Director of Finance will manage the other half.
Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for the parks you manage and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Help supervise and mentor accounting staff; help scale the accounting function in line with company growth.
Work with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate property-level accounting across the portfolio, including capital expenditures, non-recurring expenses, and operational reporting.
Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial information.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
Support audit and tax filing processes and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
Oversee and manage AP/AR workflows and treasury functions, including ACH and wire processing.
Partner with the CFO and Director of Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
Evaluate, implement, and optimize accounting systems and technology solutions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.

What will make you stand out:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA license strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience in financial reporting, audits, and compliance.
Prior experience in real estate, property management, or multi-entity operations preferred.
Proficiency in accounting systems and tools (i.e. QuickBooks Online); experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
