Georgia National Rodeo Camping: Stay at Twin Oaks RV Park in Perry

Not Their First Rodeo, But Maybe Its Yours?
If you’re planning a trip to the Georgia National Rodeo you’re going to need a comfortable, convenient place to stay. Twin Oaks RV Park puts you just minutes from all the action, so you can focus on enjoying the event instead of stressing about a long drive back at the end of the night.
Here’s everything you need to know about one of Georgia’s most beloved annual events, and why Twin Oaks is the perfect home base while you’re in town.
What Is the Georgia National Rodeo?
Held every February at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Ag Center in Perry, the Georgia National Rodeo is one of the most attended rodeo events in the Southeast. It’s an officially sanctioned Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association event, which means the talent is the real deal. Cowboys and cowgirls travel from across the country to compete for points that can qualify them for the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas every December. This isn’t a small, local fair exhibition. These are serious competitors at the top of their sport.
If past years are any indication, it is going to sell out. Tickets go on sale in early February, so keep an eye on georgianationalrodeo.com and grab yours as soon as they’re available.
What to Expect at the Event
The rodeo features seven classic PRCA events: saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, tie-down roping, team roping, bull riding, steer wrestling, and barrel racing. Each night is packed with fast-paced competition, specialty acts, and the kind of energy you can only get from a live rodeo crowd.
Outside Reaves Arena, vendors are set up with plenty to browse, from western gear to food and everything in between. It’s a great way to spend time before the show starts or during the day if you’re making a full weekend out of the trip. The Georgia National Rodeo has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Signature Events of the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, and once you experience it, that recognition makes total sense.
Why Stay at Twin Oaks RV Park
The Georgia National Fairgrounds is just a few miles from Twin Oaks RV Park, making us one of the closest and most convenient lodging options for rodeo weekend. When the arena empties out and traffic backs up, you’ll be back at your site in no time while everyone else is still sitting in their cars.
Staying in your RV also means you get to come home to your own space each night. Cook your own breakfast before the day’s activities, relax on your own terms, and get a good night’s sleep in a bed that’s actually yours. There’s something to be said for that kind of comfort after a loud, exciting, dust-in-your-boots kind of evening.
Rodeo weekend is one of the busiest times of year in Perry, and sites fill up fast. We strongly recommend booking your spot at Twin Oaks well in advance of the February dates.
Making a Full Weekend of It
If you’re coming in for the rodeo, consider arriving a day early and staying a day after. Perry is a charming small Georgia town with good food, friendly people, and a relaxed pace that makes it worth lingering. The fairgrounds itself hosts other events throughout the rodeo weekend that are worth checking out, so there’s no shortage of things to do between performances.
Whether this is your first rodeo or you’ve been coming to this event for years, having a solid home base makes the whole experience better.
Book your site today and come enjoy one of Georgia’s best weekends of the year
