This is a wonderful Passport America park, and that price is excellent for the amenities available, especially. It is very easy to access from the highway, check-in runs like a well-oiled machine. The showers are clean with amazing water pressure and perfect temp, and the laundry is very reasonably priced. The park itself is quiet; however, it is close to the highway, so road noise is very noticeable. Location is very good...easy to get to Keystone, the monuments, and Custer State Park. We are thankful Rapid City is close by, as our traveling companion had to spend quality time at Urgent Care and the ER. We definitely will recommend Heartland to others and will gladly stay here again

We spent a week here and it was the perfect central location to see all the amazing sights South Dakota has to offer - Mt Rushmore - Wind Cave - Custer State Park & Badlands! Very nice staff members. Great WiFi! Cute gift shop! It is right off the highway, so there is a little road noise, but we got use to it after a few nights.

Nice convenient area, clean full hookups, cable, electric water kids play area. Restaurant, and activitie area with nightly activities like bingo, movies and more. Public showers, bathroom, laundry and a little store. Except for it being close to the highway it's quite, and safe. It does have cabins for rent (i did not use, so I can't tell you much about that) not far from Mt Rushmore, Chief Joseph and more. Prices per night is reasonable. Highly recommend.

Heartland is one of out favorite parks in the 46 states that I have camped in. Lots of activities. The workers are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are all kept immaculate. The first time we stayed for 2 weeks. The next time we stayed for 2 months!!!

Excellent stay with our trailer. Good service and food at the Event Center for breakfast and the pulled pork was fabulous. Friendly staff. Would stay there again anytime. Our pup enjoyed the dog yard. Laundry was clean. Didn't use the shower rooms though. So I don't know about them. Enjoyed the planned events they had there.
