Ultimate RV Site
Our largest and most spacious full-service 50/30-amp pull-through sites are perfect for big Class A motor coaches with stacker trailers, large travel trailers, or 5th wheels. Accommodates a total length of up to 100 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Super RV Site
Generous 50/30-amp full-service pull-through sites for Class A motor coaches, travel trailers, or 5th wheels up to 45 feet long. Accommodates a combined length of up to 74 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Standard RV Site
Full-hookup 30-amp pull-through sites for Class A, B, or C RVs, pickup campers, travel trailers, or 5th wheels up to 26 feet. Maximum combined length is 45 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Premium RV Site
Comfortable 50/30-amp full-service pull-through sites for Class A motor coaches, travel trailers, or 5th wheels up to 42 feet in length, with a maximum combined length of 68 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Large RV Site
50/30-amp full-service pull-through sites for Class A motor coaches up to 36 feet, and travel trailers or 5th wheels up to 26 feet. Maximum total length is 52 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Discount RV Site
Best value 30-amp full-hookup pull-through sites for Class A, B, or C RVs, pickup campers, travel trailers, or 5th wheels up to 26 feet. Maximum combined length is 42 feet, including any towed vehicle.
Tent Site
Experience the great outdoors with all the thoughtful touches of home. Our 24 tent sites include water and electricity, and campers enjoy access to clean, modern bathroom and shower facilities, as well as all shared amenities. From the heated pool and hot tub to the playground and Wi‑Fi, it’s an adventure made comfortable.

With full hookups (20/30/50 amps), ultrafast WiFi, cable TV, and impeccably maintained facilities—including private showers, laundromats, a camp store, heated pool, and event center—long-term guests can settle in effortlessly. Nestled just 14 miles south of Rapid City and a short drive from Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Custer State Park, it’s perfectly located to mix day trips with downtime. General Information
Heartland RV Park is now open year around. Please note: Amenities are limited during the winter months, October – April.
All of our accommodations can be booked here or you can call us at 605-255-5460. For long-term or monthly reservations, please call us directly at 605-255-5460.
- RV and Tent Sites: A white envelope, with check-in details, will be placed on the front office door. Please stop by the office the next morning to finish your check in and pay your remaining balance.

Your reservation includes up to 4 people, with a maximum of 8 per RV site and 4 per cabin or tent site.
Yes! All visitors need to be registered at the office and pay $5 per person. Visitors must leave by quiet hours.
No, we do not offer day passes to non-registered guests. However, everyone is welcome to visit our Event Center restaurant and join in our nightly entertainment and activities.
Specific site and cabin numbers are not guaranteed unless a Site Lock fee has been paid. Site and cabin numbers may change prior to arrival, however the site and cabin type that was booked will be guaranteed.
Yes! Cabins require at least a 2-night stay in peak season and 3 nights over Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. RV sites require 2 nights for holiday weekends. Be sure to scroll down to "Browse Additional Sites" — you might find more availability by adjusting your search criteria!
Campsites & Tents:
- Cancel 15+ days out: Full refund minus $25
- 8–14 days: 50% refund
- 7 or fewer days: No refund
Cabins & Lodging:
- Cancel 22+ days out: Full refund minus $25
- 15–21 days: 50% refund
- 14 or fewer days: No refund
Long-term stays (30+ days):
- Cancel 45+ days out: Full refund minus $25
- Less than 45 days: No refund
No. Refunds are not given for no shows, weather, or guests removed due to rule violations. Refunds are given for early departure as long as the office is notified a day in advance. If you leave early on a weekly rate, the rate will revert to the nightly rate. If you leave early on a monthly rate, the rate will revert to a weekly or nightly rate depending on the length of stay.
Pets
Absolutely! You're welcome to bring up to 2 pets per site. Pets are allowed at RV sites and in designated pet-friendly cabins—just be sure to request a pet-friendly cabin when booking. There’s a flat $35 fee for pets in cabins. Please note, pets aren’t allowed in tent area, swimming areas, playgrounds, restrooms, or other buildings.
Amenities
Yes, we do offer WiFi! Just keep in mind that signal strength can vary depending on your location, as well as how many guests are in the park. Our WiFi is not meant for streaming. If you want a stronger WiFi to stream or for remote work, we have a premium WiFi available for $3 per day.
Yes! The pool is exclusively for registered guests. For everyone's safety and enjoyment, please keep the following in mind:
- Supervision: Children under 16 must be supervised by an adult.
- Safety: No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.
- Attire: Proper swimwear is required (no cut-offs). Swimming diapers are required for all infants.
- Rules: No gum, glass, or food in the pool area. No smoking. No running, jumping, or diving.
- Pets: No pets allowed.
- Hot Tub: Guests must be 16 or older to use the hot tub.
Yes, please register all golf carts with the office. All drivers need to have a valid driver’s license and proof of liability insurance. Drivers must follow all speed limits and posted signs. See complete list of rules here.
Policies
Each site includes 1 camping unit and one additional vehicle. Extra vehicles must be parked in designated areas and may require a fee.
No. We do not allow full washing of your RV on-site. You can use a bucket and brush.
No. EV charging is not allowed at the site. This can also damage the campground’s power system.
Yes, as long as it fits fully within your site (not on the grass or road). Otherwise, you can park in the designated additional parking area.
Yes. We are a family-friendly space. Harassment, excessive drinking, offensive language, or inappropriate flags/signs are not allowed.
Yes—only in approved fire pits. Fires must be attended and trash should never be burned.
All firewood must be bought and bundled in the State of South Dakota. The RV Park does sell firewood for your convenience.
No. Fireworks and generators are not permitted.
10 PM to 7 AM daily. Please keep voices, music, and other noise low during this time. Children under 18 must be at their campsite or with an adult.
Yes, for guests of legal age. Please enjoy responsibly, use a koozie or unmarked container, and be mindful of others. Alcohol may be restricted in some areas.
